Spared

As I look back over that last post of mine....it seems almost weird to now to see such beauty and majesty in the thunderstorm.

I sit here now less than a mile away from devastation caused from tornadoes that ripped across the southern states.

Homes gone

Power out

Trees snapped like twigs

Businesses blown down

Some (like me) would wonder where God was when havoc was playing on the wind. Couldn't He just say, "Peace, be still?"

The answer to that is yes.

But He didn't.

He allowed lots of destruction. He allowed injury and loss.

To sit here and try to figure the mind and methods of an omnipotent God is pointless for me.

Instead I should thank Him over and over for His mercy in sparing my family.

I should pray for the thousands of displaced families who are living without homes, power, and loved ones who were lost.

Choosing to rest and trust is not easy when questions plague me. But it is best. So rest I will.

He was there.
In the midst of the raging storm, His presence was near to His children.
He answered those calling out to Him for the first time or maybe just in a long time.

He was there.
He hasn't left.

Only He can truly rebuild and repair the lives of those who will let him.

Rebuild the ruins Lord. Repair the broken hearts and lives. We trust You.

2 Chronicles 36:15-16
15And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: 16But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
This town has already mocked and nearly killed this child of God and messenger. Few wanted to hear, many scoff. I am going to boldly speak…God’s truth not for the itchy ears; God has used weather to judge a nation from Genesis to Revelation.
We are witnessing the judgment of God, and we deserve it.
The church is apostate and worldly. We prefer to pray away prophetic fulfillment of the coming of the Lord because we are attached to this world. Restore it Lord so I can buy and do more. God said we cannot serve 2 masters. We call fancy clothing, homes, vacations and cars blessings from Heaven when they are only lust of our own hearts.
2 Timothy 3:2-10
2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
...always going to this conference, that conference, here and there never able to come to the knowledge of the truth; most of scripture is harsh. Why no truth? Because sadly the church is full of unconverted hearts.
Where was God? That is easy, on His thrown. His mighty hand was directing a right judgment where He willed.
By no means was it satan, he doesn’t have the power or authority. It was not global warming or mother nature.
Thy will be done Beloved father, have mercy as your judgment is poured out and glorify yourself. Let it be me and my house because my neighbors do not truly know you. That was my prayer as I stood in the driveway with tornados blowing all over Bartow County.
God simply wants people to repent and turn to him.
I will finish up with this warning…there is much more to come. Can you imagine God’s wrath that will be poured out?
The church needs to quit being like the world.
3 year old child Jesus heart is broken, He is crying, He come to get peoples.

With love
